It was the HB - time to do as the song says and let it go, let it go

Hey crelok, what puller are you using to get the old HB off with ?

That's the hard bit to do now isn't it ?, especially if you don't have the correct puller to do the job.

I used a 3 jaw to get mine off the first time. Although the OP may end up pulling it apart trying to get it off if its stuck on.

Yep, that is what I use a set like that. I can't remember the thread size, but my old kit did not have it and made up some bolts myself to suit. It looks like that set may have the correct bolts.

Crack the crank bolt first and undo a few turns. Then use the puller and when the HB starts moving, wind out the bolt a few more turns and keep going with the puller

So i am assuming there is 3 threads inside my HB for the bolts to screw into?

There should be, go slowly as these holes are not strong on the Commodore balancer and can strip easily.

Leave the rad in and remove fan on a v6. You can fit a rattle gun in unless you have a 3/4 truck gun.

There's "Nuline" Balancer's which is the name used by Powerbond I'm lead to believe.

BTW I think you'll find Repco are about the dearest if you're not an account customer.

That's what I was referring to about cracking that 300Nm bolt loose.

Remove the fuel pump relay, put a breaker bar on the 24mm bolt and have it on the ground at a angle not on the chassis rail hit the switch to remove bolt. Oh make sure the direction first u don't want it to bash up under it if its rotating the wrong way.
