HQ coupes look so fat done right, definitely a great shape car. The first thing I'd be doing is turfing the prem front, HQ's look tough with the single light front, especially a coupe. So, what are the long term plans?

It'd certainly be a bit rude not to put a big block chev in it.

Nice pickup mate, 304, looks like half the work has already been done for you.

As hatch said a Chev would probably be more suited to it, could be fluffy 2.0

What a sexy looking ride.

Interior isn't too bad, just needs a good clean. Has an interesting pattern on the seats. I'll post a pic when I take one.
GTS dash is on the list. Currently has a butchered extra gauges added standard dash.

That looks awesome! How much did you score that for??

Wasn't the cheapest one available, but wasn't the dearest either...

think i just broke the "like" button....

Mate, I'd like my own post if I could, ####in love the quey coupes.

It's an LS so that's the factory front, but I agree and down the track it may happen.
Long term I'd love to stick a big block in it, but for now it's wire up the 304 and get it on the road.

Hmmm not a massive fan of the HX LE. HQ coupe looks so much better IMO.

Yeah has 304 and auto out of a VN. Engine isn't wired up and wiring is a mess. Will probably rip it all out and re-wire it. Then sort the fuel set-up and should be right.

Needs a shifter for the box too. Has a bit of rust here and there but nothing that's a deal-breaker. It's a bit rough, but it's all there, especially the hard to get/expensive stuff like coupe seats, the gutter moulds etc. Even still got a clutch pedal in it lol.

So yeah, short term-get it running/rust/dash

Long term-would really like a bigger engine in there......

Nice pickup mate. LS HQ's were not a great seller and a genuine one is very rare these days. I can understand what 383 and others are saying about fitting the single headlight front end but the rarity of the LS would make me think twice if the car was mine.

Although...the LS also came with standard rims and Premier wheel trims, and nobody wants to ride around on those these days......your GTS rims are an improvement.

Interesting it has a clutch pedal. IIRC, all LS Monaros were autos, the same as the Premiers. That car must have an interesting history.

Still wish it was in my garage and not yours, though.
