Nice!!

I would have to say, 1 more vote for keeping the twin headlight setup.

And good luck for the resto

Nice pickup mate. LS HQ's were not a great seller and a genuine one is very rare these days. I can understand what 383 and others are saying about fitting the single headlight front end but the rarity of the LS would make me think twice if the car was mine.

I know what you mean, but realistically, it's only a nosecone and radiator support panel change. It's not like he has to go hacking the car up to fit it, it's just a hand full of bolts. For me, it would make the car look 100 times better. I'd never have a HQ with anything but a single headlight front, they're just the bees knees IMO. HJ-Z on the other hand, twin light front is the only way to fly, single headlight front looks pox.

According to what I can find the base LS was 202 and 3 on the tree. Doesn't really matter either way though.

I'll get it on the road first and go from there. I don't mind the prem front, but I do like the single light front better. However the current front has the advantage at the moment in that it's in good nick and already on the car lol

yeah they old statesman/premier front mod was very popular on these back in the day. I think the single light is more "muscle car" and less "show pony" myself.

Very nice. I'm a HQ fan as well. Years ago I had a 202 Auto HQ Ute in original International Orange. It was a great machine.
