I may be in the market for a car in the next 3-4 months and don't want to spend more than $8000 (including rego+insurance). People's suggestions please.

Conditions:
A holden and only commodore or ute (not rodeo) or vectra, astra or barina
V6 only no supercharger/performance mods

TIA

Just had a quick look and if I need to buy a car, I'd be lookin at a VT(II?) calais or berlina.

The deal I have with my parents is that when I get my P's I get the VY but due to the financial junk, they MAY want to hold onto it so this is just a fall back plan. Shouldn't come to this though. Eye's are still stuck on the prize :yeah:

If you go with a VT Series II you'll probably have to go with a Berlina...VT Series 1 Calais had the N/A V6 standard, but Series II onwards had the Super6.

Because of the P plater laws I'd need the N/A V6. Annoying because I've seen quite a few really nice cars in black (my MUCH preferred colour) well in my price range but are all super 6's.

What would be the better one out of a VT calais or a VTII berlina?
