Hey all.

Story goes like this. For god only knows how long(8 months+) ive been chasing a set of genuine VY senator signatures for a reasonable price in Brisbane. I have since basically given up on these as i cant find any. So im coming to you all for advice on what would best suit my car instead of those gorgeous sigs :D

Car is a stock as a rock, VZ SV6 in white(will also be removing rear spoiler at a later date). Will try and get a pic if anyone is up for some photshop attempts? If not, just some reccomendations on possible good combo's. Im thinking about some of the following:

20 inch VERSUS WHEELS - FITS COMMODORE & FALCON !! - eBay Other Wheels, Tyres, Wheels, Tyres, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 13-May-09 21:03:02 AEST)

Not certain on anything yet, but seen the above on a black VZ HSV and looked hotter than porn

P.S. Can anyone tell me, is it even possible to LEGALLY run 20's on a VZ in QLD? What tyre size would i need to run?

throw some ideas at me!

hey bud not sure on the laws in queensland but i know if u are gunna be running 20's and lowering u will need guards rolling and might have some scrubbing issues...ive been looking around for wheels for my vz aswell and come to the conclusion im gunna keep it looking fairly commodorish with a set of ve ss-v 19's and as far as i understand 19's and super super low springs uve got very little/no scrubbing issues

Yeah, If you wanna fit 20's with a camber kit and rolling the gaurds, Your still going to have to use the wrong tyre size, and you'll go through tyres real quick. If you want 20's, Go all out and get coil over suspension and all that.
Just go 19's, Alot smoother ride, Plus no worrys about rubbing and you can lower your car and have no issues as jimbo said.

Might be a stupid question, but do i need to lower it if i fitted 20s? Will the car sit any higher off the ground?(e.g. 20's + stock suspension) Also, are the rolled guards and camber kit a must have if still sitting at stock height?

reason being, i hit gutters and concrete stops in car parks enough without lowering it even more :bang:

SV6 has FE2 suspension like SS im guessing. Even with factory 18" wheels mine still scrubs the guards (unrolled) pretty badly in the rear (lowered 40mm).

Just don't go over 20mm lower than where it is now and ur wheel choice should not matter.

not sure, im thinking there wouldnt be as many issues, but idk

trust me go 19's, less problems and less wear on your car.

also 20's will look really out of place on your car without lowering etc.
my cousin put 20's on his vy s, before he lowered just to check em out, nice rims but really looked horrible, the car just didnt sit rite.

VZ have impressive camber even after lowering alot. Your car will sit a smidgen higher with bigger rims. So if you're not gonna lower it, definately no need for camber kit:thumbsup:

...It doesnt look right ay..

The next level down from fe2 on VZ's is a 20mm drop. I would do this with 19". Will look shmick

If you do lower it, A camber kit and rolling the gaurds aint going to help it. To fit them, You'll need coil over suspension and the works done, If you wanna lower it and put 20's on it properly.
But do what you want, But 20's will tear through your tyres so much quicker.
Just go 19's. 1" different isnt really going to make a difference, And they're are so many more bonuses. As in, No where near as much wear as the 20's. Smoother ride, ect ect.

Anyway, Good luck.
