Yet another write off for South Australia's Police Department with a driver training stint going horribly wrong on Adelaide's Gorge Road Cuddlee Creek. One guy in the back had to be cut out by the CFS.

This road is a regular haunt for the boys in blue to use as a high speed circuit training road as it's got everything that a budding young driver wants to take on. Sadly again this is another short lived ZB off to Pickles Auctions as they are getting around one per auction to flog off as damaged goods.

But who cares anyway it seems as they are just an expendable tool that we're all paying for in the long run.

PS. Notice it has a towbar fitted for weekend camping trips LOL !!

There were 4 in the car at the time and they would've been doing an AWD update course to understand the newer drivevline opposed to the older rear wheel drive VF's and so on.

Gorge Road is a hoon road for many thrill seekers and when the boys are not using it as their personal race track their speed detection guys go up there and hang anyone that goes over 80km.

Sadly these guys did heed their own warnings about the current state of our road toll.

Actually due to another current thread on "rust in ZB's" in the ZB sub-forum, it would've been good to check out this vehicle all inside the box sections that they've cut open to retrieve the rear seat passenger that copped a back injury due to their stupidity.

No not at all. They just work with what's around at the time, but they do choose the times when the road is least used by other road users.

A car salesman I know told me that a lot of people are holding onto their VE's and VF models and not upgrading because no one likes the ZB model... I know car salesman can be full of it sometimes but he didn't come across as lying about this...

Sorry to be the one to tell you tuckerbag but a Holden exec said a few days ago that the series 2 is coming later this year. The only model they're dropping is the diesel. He also said that while sales aren't what they'd hoped, it's still enough to make selling it worth while. He also said an non GM model has been selected to replace the ZB when that platform ends.
So there will be a totally new Commodore from who knows where for you to hate after ZB.

At least they will be expensive to own and difficult to get parts, like most European cars.
Hopefully PSA will stay in Australia and carry a warehouse of parts so people dont get caught out with an orphan - like an Opel when they retreated.

A mate of mine that is in the business of buying wholesale cars for dealers tells me that dealers will grab second hand VFs from him but aren't interested in any ZBs.

Drove past my local Holden dealer this week, all I saw was rows of SUV's. Maybe the ZB's are out the back?

Been like that for 6 months at my local. They're kept in the customer carpark behind the dealership.
