I own a vr and im wanting to add abit more power to it without spending to much cash.is this possible or do you have to spend up big to get results?if anyone has any ideas for me please let me know.the only modification it has is a 3inch redback exhoust from the cat back.
Can't give you much advice personally but I can direct you to this thread (which is a stickie) if you haven't noticed it http://forums.justcommodores.com.au...700-buick-ecotec-v6-performance-upgrades.html
When you make a post go down to 'Manage Attatchments' and click Add Files once the window opens up, the find ur car picture then the rest is history!
vr power imporvement I saw a VR 3.8 Commodore & van in Dungog with gas topping and the owner reckons it helped with towing. Seems they add LPG to the air inlet at less than 1% which I'm told improves combustion efficiency by a noticable but not spectacular amount (that's what I needed!). I think it was initially developed for diesel engines (might take a bit of work to find the name of the installer). I have no idea of this stuff myself but the VR 3.8 statesman I have was struggling a bit with a trailer and that seemed a handy conversation at the time! Hope someone has an answer to your problem. Good luck!
you probably wont be able to gain alot of power with "cheap mods", i say either buy a 5l or increase your budget.
