As the title suggests, just wondering if anybody has had a go at fitting their own semi floating pistons?

I need to remove the rod from a brand new piston without damaging it. I'm thinking about making a jig that supports the small end of the rod in the shape of a u that will allow the pin to be pressed out of the rod without putting pressure on the piston itself.

If anybody has any other ideas or methods that I could use to remove the piston from the rod without damage I'd be more than happy to hear about it

I ended up doing it myself, it was much easier and stress free than I thought it would be. I'll definitely be doing them myself from now on

getting them back in fast enough before the pin cools the rod is the fun part

LOL, i thought you had... did i just do a thread dig :(

It was less than a month so it wasn't really a dig, it was more of just kick the dirt off it.
