That one has a head 3mm too wide.
It does say it fits an 8mm hole.

The clip needs to be 7.5mm wide.
The dimensions aren’t fully published and it does look more like the clip I first received.

Finally getting some time to paint the fricken wiper area. All masked up and not to industry standards either.

I’m not entirely happy with how clean some of the spots are but I’ve done what I can.

Two coats of cold galv on. Then satin black.

*edit* First coat of zinc satin black done.

I’m going to get some seam sealer around that air intake. The water pools in the gap where the lip is for the mesh.

Got the catches fitted up. Wasn’t sure on how to adjust it, so went and measured the length of the one on my other Crewman. 65mm. Was spot on.

These were so gross. Caked in schmutz
Get on eBay and dik heds are trying to wrought people hundreds of dollars for these if the are for “VK or VC”.

The same parts are across all Commodores VB-VF. Also the spring assembly was used on HQ I’m pretty sure. Torana. Can’t recall if my sisters HT had one.

Does anyone know what the push panel on the bumper is for?
There’s no thread behind it for a tow hook.
Just the bumper support metal.

Back onto the wipers.

So I accidentally found some info in the manual about setting the wiper assembly after dismantling it.

And mine were arse about.

I had a wiper issue when I redid the VE wiper assembly a year or two ago.

So before with the pivot arm not between the two marks for right hand drive

You can see the bottom edge of the alignment line.

I also got the sound deadening done on the back panel.

Fell short of some so will get more from Jaycar to do the bottom section.

It’s 5mm Butyl and foil and foam.

Certainly has a dull thud to it now.

I got the bottom part of the rear panel covered. Easy stuff to use and apply. Easy to cut to size.

I finished off the wiper area below the windscreen.

Retapped the wiper motor Earth point. Removed the dummy screw from the firewall earth strap point.
Reattached it. Tested the earths.

Tested continuity and resistance from firewall earth strap screw to body. Excellent.
Tested the wiper motor earth point to battery negative terminal. Excellent. To body. Excellent.

Will get some sealant into two areas to prevent water and schmutz getting stuck.

Really happy with how it turned out.
