a few weeks back I was diagnosed with structural LLD, meaning one leg is much shorter than the other causing grief for my back, knees and foot. my right leg is the short one and I've been walking on the outside of my right foot to compensate without knowing it.

the best option for treatment was custom orthotics moulded from my feet to straighten my ankles and one full length one built up to raise my short leg. I've been wearing them for about a week now and they have been rather uncomfortable around the arches but my back and foot feels much better. I was told they will take some getting used to and that I'll need to wear them indefinitely once they wear in. I was told to wear them as is for a few weeks and if at the end of the 2 weeks it doesn't feel like I'm not wearing them that I should return and that they could need adjusting.

I'm after some feedback from others who wear them too. like how long did it take for them to "wear in" and did they really make a difference to your condition?

Don't know whether they count , but I have inserts for shoes due to a high instep on my clumps of meat , and the fact they are wide as well , buying shoes is a a pain .

Mine took at least a month to 'wear-in' so to speak :D

Give them time and soon they will be your best friend.
