There is an open day at Canberra Airport this week end Qantas and Virgin planes for people to look at. There will be a FA18 fly over around 11:30.

Is the runway open for runs? I'll bring the B-King :thumbsup:

i too flew a plane before i got my drivers license. half way through a private license but haven't the funds to continue it. grew up about 15mins from a US airbase in the Netherlands. was use too seeing/hearings F-15 eagles screaming out on full afterburner from the zulu alert to intercept anything coming from the USSR towards NATO airspace

would have been an airforce pilot except i'm was to tall to complete jet conversion training that all pilots had to pass including rotary wing pilots:bang: they changed that rule later but then i was to old to apply:bang::bang::bang:

mostly into military aviation, both historic and modern

oneday i'll complete the pilots license. when i'm in a plane at the controls is about the only time i'm real happy

Me too Completly colour blind - so I settled for the simulator.

I love planes. I would love to be a pilot, except for the time away from home. The aircraft fascinate me.

Do Qantas run tours of their maintenance workshops ? would like to see the larger planes up close.

I fly quite alot for work and it's always interesting. Looking forward to the A380. I recently got off a flight from LA and it was parked next to our plane in Sydney. Virtually everyone in our plane was fixated on this new aircraft.

It really looks amazing!

Yup even got a Tiger moth in the plans to select. Slow as to fly Then there is the Stealth bommer - I've killed a few of them:whistling

Several hundred hours on the MS Flight Sim. Auto pilot is cool on the long hauls.
