I have both a sunroof and a sunglasses holder. Having one doesn't mean you cant have the other. Unless you installed it yourself with a can opener. Those holders are a great place to stash your coke. No rattles in mine but then again I dont play rubber dub dub.

Mine only rattles if I have my sunglasses in there + bass turned up, otherwise no issues.

Go check out the current factory sunroof champ. There is a big rotary switch where the sunglass holder flip down bit used to reside.

I too picked up on that comment... maybe he means coka-cola mini cans? Because that's the only form of legal coke that's going to fit in there ;).

had the sunroof fitted with an aftermarket model, Hollandia 700. The sunglasses holder stays in place. No sunroof clamp to speak off.

And yeah the mini 300ml cans of coke fit in there, or a packet of handy wipes, or the DVD remote control, or the remote for the in-car LED's. Take ya pick. Handy bloody thing it is.

Yeah I agree, I kept my pet guinea pig in the sunglasses holder for ages (admitadley I had to squash it shut on him as he grew in size ), until I forgot him in there once on a hot day and he died.

I could have sued Holden for not putting a disclaimer in the owners manual explaining that it was not a storage compartment for living animals and creatures. But what would be the point, It was too late nothing would bring him back :(

So a warning all the others out there using it as a storage for your pet guinea pigs, BE CAREFUL

*the above story is no more ridiculous than adults discussing on a forum the "rattles" from their cars sunglasses compartment. Get a hobby, watch tv, root your girlfriend, mow the lawn, go for a jog, even beating off is a more dignified way to kill time than worrying about **** like that!

Considering the amount of bass output from the stock stereo, mine doesnt rattle. I have the cleaning cloth holden gave me in there though.

I've removed the whole overhead console as described in the video.
Then placed 2mm cardboard in the gap between the metal clips and the plastic piece it sits inside of. I did this to the four clips at the front of the overhead console.
I then stuck a 5mm sticky foam that you use for blocking gaps in windows to a metal piece hanging down from the roof inside the area where the sunglass console goes. This sticky foam can reduce to 2mm when it is squashed.
Placed the overhead console back and Voila no rattle.

    Awesome.

I keep my sunglass in there but never heard any rattling noise. Maybe because i wrap my sunglass with the cleaning cloth they provided thats why?

Some people have a GPS in there as well.
