Talking to the bloke who remanufactured my t-converter and he mentioned VR's having a recall because of autos overheating. He reckons because of the small converters they use, the trans suffers from heat, more so than some other trans makes. He reckoned that GMH recalled VR's and fitted trans coolers for free as part of the recall. Is this true? I have a cooler fitted but did pay for it myself a while back.

Sorry Losh, but I'm sure that recall offer has well and truly run out now. LOL ;)

Maybe be true but as mentioned, probably not valid any more.

Part of the issue is the small cooler lines used, from VT onward they stepped em up a size. VS models also had issues with how hot they got. Whilst I have the Senator in the garage I'm contemplating pulling the original steel lines out and stepping up to much larger -6 lines?
