Looking at Redbook the guide for what cars worth to trade in value and I see a 2013 My14 Caprice V with 6.0 Ltr in it that has every option available on Earth and its only worth paltry $13,900 to $16,200 to trade in with a average 110000-180000 k on the clock yet a basic 2015 SV6 Storm with hardly any option is worth at trade in from $16,200 to $18,600. Now the question? Why is the Caprice V with a 6.0 ltr engine in it, why is it so poor when you trade it in.

It's always been that way with the lwb cars. Probably because there is not much demand for them on the used market.

I've noticed some bargains, for whatever reason, since late last year,Dealers letting VF's and low K Ve's11 for $10-14,000.As stated above its all about demand and the VE-VF models are loosing value fast, may bounce back but a gamble.

A lot of Caprices were used as hire cars. Unless you are in the back seat, they are just a Commodore.
Most are very high kilometres and people don't want a very used luxury car, no matter how well it has been serviced.

Yes I have spotted a WM 2012 Caprice 2 with 6 Cyl that was Spotless but had 580,000 k's on the clock. I surprise the interior look good with that k's.
I wonder home many engine it had with the stretched chain issue
