I have decide to start a Thread on this matter because you need to know this because It can happen to you or your fathers or your mother or your brother and sister or your friend.

When I was in Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane when I had my Heart attack I had 4 stints put in but after the heart attack the damage was done and left me very, very low BP like 75/58 or similar BP, lower then before. Now because of this Prince Charles Hospital did not allow me to go home until my Heart become stronger and MY BETA BLOCKER (used about 5 different types of them to see as Beta Blockers Drops you BP further) so the average person that has stints put in goes home the next day but I was in Hospital for 2 and half Months so what did I do whilst I had the Heart monitor on me 24/7 days a week for 2.5 months I walk around on that floor or any floor that has the monitors on the ceiling.
Yes this antenna monitor people that have issue like me (small antenna upside down on the ceiling) So what did I do???? GO to ever seminar that they were running and out of the 20 odd Seminar I went to most was conducted by Professors or head Surgeons and all was invited to come in (average about 25 people) and I notice two things.
1/ They all talk about HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE I put my hand up and told them I always had since a Child VERY LOW BP.
After the the 3rd or 5th Seminar ALL The Doctors + the Professor knew about my case and most of the time they point to me (everyone turned around and looked at me (i'm Famous) as I was the rare one around as I have LOW BP My Cholesterol and my Triglycerides are good and his B.M.I is good so why did I have a Heart Attack (MY DNA, my Dad, uncles Died of Heart Attack)
2/ In one of the Seminars they spoke about how to "PICK A PERSON THAT HAS NO CAPACITY and possible a candidate to have a Heart Attack" and one of the reasons besides Chest discomfort or pain (angina, Others, you can't see it), feeling faint or feeling anxious, (Hard to spot), Sweating or a cold sweat (easy to spot), and or Shortness of breath when talking or without evidence of physical movement "EG" EXERCISE. (EASY TO SPOT)

After ALL the seminar that I sat in 2.5 months I have become aware of HEART ATTACKS and the way to pick them but like most THEY ARE IN DENILE and cant be told you have a issue.

All you do is Go see you doctor and ask for a STRESS TEST. Now when you booked for a STRESS TEST you will go into a room at Hospital (Pension No Charge others wise Private will cover you for $$$$) and you will find two nurses, One Doctor and another DUDE that has the Padddle to kick you heart back in just in case you have the Heart attack that you thought you will never have.
Now you will step on this machine and the machine will go faster and faster whilst the Monitors are Monitor you for everything (like a Dyno) then the machine go UP, and Up you stress more You start to sweat, sweat more until they stop it and if you pass you heart is just about to pop out of you chest or your are on the floor with 20,000 volts going through you (not that bad) but I think you get my point.
Now if you are a average joe blow that goes for one of these test and your wife or friend like me tell him to get tested and the guy fails you will be Booked to have a angiogram In Prince Charles or other state hospital for hearts and when you have this angiogram most are awake when they go in your artery's and heart area

"eg" To complete a coronary angiogram, a catheter is inserted in an artery in your groin or arm and threaded through your blood vessels to your heart. Your doctor uses the angiogram to check for blocked or narrowed blood vessels in your heart and at the sametime they can put STINTS in you.

WOW I was so Fascinated about this (call me morbid, maybe I have watched to much death on my Sat Tv hobby) whilst they were does this 4 around me on the Operating table Surgeons, 3 dudes were up the top Viewing so I said to the Nurse I have no pain and she said are you interest on what we are doing behind the 24 or 32 inch monitor so I said YES!!! so she asked the Surgeon and the Surgeon ask me then she moved the spare monitor around and was showed what they are Doing and she said look at the Faint Line of my body that should have blood in it and the Surgeon said to me WATCH WHAT HAPPENED,,, NOW!! when we release the STINT on the blockage!! The Surgeon release the Stent and this small trickling creek become a gushing RIVER OF BLOOD..
I have to say this.
When in Price Charles Hospital around 2 months in I was in the TV room with other being monitored with the monitor, and their Family about (20 in there) and I was talking about our Operation that we had with another patient and we boasted this and that and next to us we has a football man dress in Panthers colours and he was YOUNG, FIT, Could be a front rower and he was listen to me and the other Patient on the Experience we had and this young guy FAINTED.

Regarding the Operation the surgeons prefer you are awake but not Watching Like when they Operate on your Brain but for me I was Fascinated to watch the operation, there is no pain whatsoever except for the groin area two days later and this is the reason why now in 2019 on they go through your ARM not the groin next to you dick because like me and 1 in 4 men can do a piss after the operation and had to have a catheter fitted in to piss until the swelling goes down. Now you are in Hospital for a weeks but should be gone the next day (hogging the beds)This is the reason why they go in your arm now. The operation took about 3 hours and my arms were behind my head, FCUKKKK... My arms were sore after the arm was in that position
Is any member here has a issue I have had please get Checked otherwise you will possibly die if left unchecked.

PS: It has taken me 1 hour and 15 minutes to type this because of the damage from the 5 friggin strokes I had.

A STRESS TEST

Now I have exaggerated a little about the stress test so ALL will get my point in as wherever you have the stress test there will be at least one Nurse, One Doctor and another person Monitoring you in there Computer system next to you that records everything.

The Person doing the Monitoring will Stop the Machine and tell you to get off ( or you can jump off in a Panic) because the Computer will see before you know that your are About to STRUGGLE as they don't want you to have a Heart Attack there and then. Also that Information (the Chart) will be given to the Heart Specialist to have more test and or angiogram.

That's a lot of effort to type it all out.

If you feel any of the symptoms mentioned, don't call your doctor, call an ambulance because if you are having a heart attack they can get you the attention you need. I've had some of the symptoms you mentioned. I did not call an ambulance instead I waited till Monday and went and saw the nurse at my doctors office. She had me on a ECG in a hurry along with a very stern telling off. Fortunately the results were all normal followed by a visit to a specialist and heart stress test which also all came back normal.

Both my sons are training as paramedics and deal with heart attack patients and all I'll say is that time is critical for a heart attack.

The Problem these day you can be normal and have no issues with your heart but you are living just above the threshold of a Heart Attack but you wont know it until you have a stress test. After I had the 4 stints put in 6 months later I had a Stress test and I burnt the rubber of the wheels on the Machine. Yes I passed it with Flying colours as before I had 4 arteries semi blocked that weakened me to a point that I could not mow the lawn. Actuall My wife heard the Mower sitting on one spot make the same noise, not moving, and she looked and I was on the ground. Yes that bad

And that is indeed the conundrum. It wasn't long ago some famous football player literally dropped during a soccer match and had a massive heart attack. A very fit and healthy individual on first look. Fortunately quick intervention by players and medical staff/paramedics revived him and saved his life.

I believe something similar happened to a league player not long ago but he wasn't so fortunate.

Get your cholesterol tested at least yearly

I've been on Rosuvastatin for the last 10 years, 1 x 10mg daily keeps mine in check

The stress test isn't really stressful, you just typically walk at a quick pace to get your heart rate up for your age group, the tester will just watch and record what your doing and will stop the test before you even get close to a high level of exhaustion

The cardiologist uses the stress test, you cholesterol count, BMI and your lifestyle to give you a low, medium or high risk of a heart attack

I get my cholesterol tested every year and do a stress test every 2 years as my family has had cholesterol and heart issues

When I was 45 with very high cholesterol I was high risk of a heart attack within 5 years

I got my cholesterol under control but still at a medium risk a year later

Since then I quite the smokes, reduced my alcohol intake and fixed my diet which gets me at a low risk of heart attack, which is nice

I got pushed a lot harder on my stress test. I made it to the point where the attending said marathon runners feel comfortable (I wasn't). I've taken to riding a bike and occasionally like to push the boundaries. Interestingly, when I first started riding again I'd get over 160bpm to 180pbm and feel terrible, now I can go over that and feel quiet comfortable (but everything else hurts).

My old man was 2 weeks off his 50th birthday when he died from a heart attack....He had no stress, (other than where he was going to dip his wick next) no prior history with heart issues...From all accounts (I wasn't there when he died), he just finished having his truck loaded, was in high spirits and 50 metres down the road, dead....Heart attack. From what I was told, his truck swerved across the road, into a tree, just missing other motorists....A motorist that he just missed was the one that found him slumped across the steering wheel

Yes he smoked and drank, but his heart attack happened that quick....

My father survived three major heart attacks but the last one took him when he was 60-65. Don't know what age he was when he died. I'm considered at risk because of family. I never smoked, but until 25 years ago I was pretty heavy into the wacky baccy. Haven't touched that in 25 years and never will again. Hardly drink any more as see it as a waste of my hard earned money. Too fat though and need to lose 15-20kg to be at a healthy weight. Sitting at a desk all day doesn't help. But leave at 7.00 and get home at 6.30, then tea, then walk the dog. By that time I'm knackered and it's at least 8.00, so not feeling like doing hard exercise. Drink too much ice coffee milk, which doesn't help.....
