    VE Steering Wheel Airbag removal

Hey, this isn't a silly question, anyone know how to remove the airbag on the VE steering wheel, I've got a leather one to replace the plastic one, there's no bolts on the back of the wheel like the VT-VZ's?

yes you can use the single pump, you will need to mod the pickup to sit in the fuel when you remove the internal pump

it sounds like the AFM isnt reading correctly, just because you have tried another doesnt mean its not at fault, you need to check the wiring to make sure the signal is getting to the ECU.

theres a special tool to get them off, its like a small tyre lever & goes in the back to pop it off, similar to VY VZ

the holes don't quiet line up, but thats something that can be fixed.....the main concern I have is the pressure regulator and the rail looks a lot thinner on the S2 than the S1.

Why change anything on a car? And the only advantage I'm loking for is the fact I can polish the rail, which should look good against the manifold painted black., but like I said, I'm concerned about the 2 different regulators and thickness of the rail piping. If the fuel pressure will be the same and the thinner rail has no adverse affect on the performance or economy of the engine then the little pain to fit it will be nil, its just a new hole that needs to be drilled.

But thanks for the replies thou

Hey, should the pump that inflates the suspension make a really loud noise?
I have a friend who rides around in a 1998 HSV Senator. He has had the suspension air pump changed like four times with the dealer he bought the car from, because each time he turns the car off it makes this really loud noise and I mean loud! Every time the car comes back from being 'fixed' by this dealer, the pump makes this really loud humming sound - would they be using second hand parts?
Ordered, to buy a new one and fit it, my friend picks up the car yesterday, and when he gets home turns off the car, gets out and locks it, walks to the garage door and you know what, the noise is worse than it has ever been before!
Should it be doing this every time the car is turned off whether long journey or short, and why is it so damn noisy lol
    We're confused about this one.
    Thanks

ok for the last week the delay before it starts to crank has been only 5 to 10 seconds so i couldnt tell but this morning it was taking forever... so i checked and the red led is not flashing while i have the key in the starting position. it finally started after 4 or 5 attempts each holding the key fully clockwise for 30 to 40 seconds or more. but again after it starts to crank it starts straight away. it just doesnt want to crank! and every time after it starts instantly... any idea? this is driving me nuts....
