dang i was hoping it was the casue of one of my problems got the new motor in and running but its reaving really high before it changes gear unless i back it off its full of oil
how about the vacuum hose where dose that go yer me to the only thing we did was change the oil and filter and gave the outside a clean oh well looks like it will be going to to the mech asap
have you checked the oil level with it running and in N ? could be a little low maybe?? when u changed the filter did you make sure you pushed it in to the valve body as far as it would go?
yer i did my step dad just saying give it time give it time it just got to get used of the new oil casue it been running on burnt black oil
why was the oil black? have you been towing with it? black oil is burnt from excessive heat or slipping trans
hopefully it will come good my car had black oil in the trans when i got it, used to hold gears way to long, 6 months later and 2 services its good as new.
nar i did not tow with it but i did have a overheating problem with a little while ago and i planed to have it serviced but i never got around to cause i kinder blew the motor and things keeped braking on it
Was it doing it before the engine swap? Is it every gear that's revving out? Check the oil level. If you put too much oil in it, it can cause too much pressure on the band's as well.
did you reuse your old tps/ throttle body? maybe the new tps/throttle body is buggerd, that would make it hold gears and such. also trans should be checked in park, not netural.
no i used the same inlet manifold cause 2 weeks before the motor went i had it cleaned and i always check it in park
took it for a nice drive down the highway and for some reason its changing in to every gears nicely now
