Hey!
I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about the auto dipping side mirrors when car is put in reverse. It's on series 2 calais v.
I have a series one and looking at putting it on. Is the actual mirror or a module you buy? or both?
Also if you know where I could grab the gear, let me know, can't seem to find anything.

Yes i'll be talking to Holden, just wanted to post here first.

Cheers!

Your calais v should already have it. Mines an 06 & its got, its only the passenger side that dips when put in reverse. Got something to do with the buttons on the side of the seat. Should be in your manual

There's a module which the Calais gets, which controls the seat position memory, dipping mirrors and probably the heater function in the mirror and seat?
I think it lives under the seat.

Caprice gets 'em too.

Pain in the bum, cos the mirror will dip EVERY time you pick reverse, but many times I find myself cussing and wishing it didnt

I have an 07 Caprice. I can activate/inactive the dipping by pressing the M button on the drivers seat when the car is in reverse.

The car remembers that last setting; if you make it dip once (by pushing the M button), it will continue to dip each time you select reverse from then on, if you inactive the dip (by pressing he M button again while in reverse), it won't dip again. If you want the mirror to dip, you re press the M button.

Passenger mirror dips when the car is in reverse so you can see the back wheel / back of car in the mirror.

You can enable and disable the dipping mirrors in series 2 calais v. I have. Its in the owners manual about when setting memory seat you slip shifter to reverse and set mirror. But you can also turn the dipping mirror off
