Auto lock button on drivers handle

Sometimes the button on the drivers handle doesn't lock the car when I press the button and I can hear the actuator move inside the door. When I use the key it locks it's all the time.
Been like this for awhile and I've gotten used to it but thought id under take a new little project.
Any ideas would be appreciated
