well work though all the symptoms one by one
fix the drive shaft

you need a new pan on the auto .. if banged up it reduces oil pressure and pick up
that will stave the auto of oil destroying in internally

the bang could be the oil pump in the auto behind the torque converter

think about fitting a high stall torque converter if the box has to come out

No. It won't make your car any faster and will be a neck snapping pos by the time you've finished with it.
Again, high stall torque converters are for cars that make power at high rpm so won't do you any good unless you have a huge cam.

Do yourself a favour and don't touch the gearbox. They're fragile things and special tools and knowledge are needed. Get the spinnaker bearings replaced before you bugger something else

Slight problem I hav one floor jack and the vt sissor jack a small tool kit no aircompressor so I can't get the box out even if I wanted

Just a though about the rough running after you gave it a hard time. It might be possible that the sharp movement of the drivetrain set off the knock sensors and put the engine into limp home mode? I'm not entirely sure if that's possible, but I know how **** they run in LHM...
