Vs Commodore, Vr Acclaim
Hey there, vr acclaim decided to let me drive 5 hours away from home and 2 hours away from any town before transmission packed it in. If i had the choice i would get a mechanic to change it for me but on this occation i dont have a choice. I have a mate to help that knows a bit about cars and has changed a trannie or 2 before but never on a vr v6. Are there any unusual things when changing a trannie on vr's compared to other cars. Does anyone know if there are any "how to" guides for doing the change over. Any help appreciated , cheers

your best bet is to get yourself a gregory's manual. Makes it nice and simple

dont be scared with these they are really good to do *THE ONLY THING IS THOSE BLOODY COOLER LINES!!!!** be careful with these as frustration can lead to rounding the bolts cutting and alot of mess!! other than that if you done one before or your mate its all straight forward good luck let us know how you go
