Its a rip off paying the mechanics to do it,some places are over $100 or more,its cheaper and easier to do it yourself,just need to buy a filter kit for $20 -$30 and 5 litres of dexron111(3) auto trans fluid,another $25.Theres a how to to follow to on here if you search for it,you can save yourself a few dollars.A lot of people think its heaps hard,but if you can change the engine oil and filter,you can service the auto trans filter and fluid etc.

Brett - the days of $100 trans oil changes are long gone.....last time I asked for a quote it was $180....and for a full flush anywhere between $3-400. I've always done my own.

good to know. $50 to $60 in parts and doing it yourself saves almost $100 in labour
