Run a Diesel Oil in your viscosity,
Its heaps better,
I have been running diesel oil in the Adventra, and its slowly cleaning the engine up,
You should of seen the CRUD in the filter at the 1,500k service.
Diesel oil in a high performance LS can result in a spun cam bearing. Probably ok if you don't get near the redline ever but I won't risk it.

I've had the rocker covers off mine twice and there is not a hint of sludge. No need for diesel oil. I use flush every oil change as did previous workshops it would seem.

Fair call,
I dont even think of Red Lines,
Just concentrate on the White Lines.

But wasnt that re-built not long ago ?, as it running mint ?
So one would assume it should be clean.

I want to take my ute to the track at some point and have been sorting the common problems and am getting close to being able to do it.

Nope, I had the springs and trunnions done last week. My old ute had an almost full rebuild before I totalled it.

I just paid 5,5k for my reco trans, and they since replaced it again, due to a fault with a down shift of 4th to 3rd,
And since the replacement [third Trans] is running perfectly,

not takeing mine to the track :D

Thought I'd post this up for anyone who might be interested. I'd grab two but I've switched to Nulon 10w 40 for my L98. If it was 10w I'd be all over it. Although at this price I might consider switching back for a once off.

Think I will buy a bottle or two for the wife's Outlander. It's nearly due for a service and one bottle is a full fill.
