Automatic Transmission Service $$$ ?

Just bought the transmission kit from Bursons for $20, oil is $36. Pretty easy to change and a lot cheaper than taking it in.

to do a proper service.......the techincian should drain the tranny completely, not just the pan but the torque converter, cooling lines and cooler....ie complete flush....

in all....a VE with the 6 speed auto will take 10 to 11 L of dex VI.......retailing at $85 for 4 L

genuine filter and gasket.....$160

2 hours labour......


for people who are getting a tranny service for less than $300 on a VE 6 speed then you are probably only getting......

simple pan drain and fill........

cheap after market filter and gasket.....

i wouldnt mind betting thats all their doing....and for the most of us with normal driving......thats enough to hold you over.
