    G'day,
I've purchased a b&m shift kit for my 4l60e slushy.

I have since buying it done some research and found(apparently) there are some major differences between the brands.

Quite simply the transgo has a throttle specific shift( light throttle ,light shift. WOT, hard shift)
While the B&M hard shifts all the time.

I was wondering if people would care to share their opinions and/or hands(or throttle) on experience with these kits.

Rants/raves and flaming(lol) more than welcome.

mines got a transgo stage 2 shift kit and transgo valve body with a 0.500" boost valve and corvette servo and 13 vane pump
shifts smooth under half throttle and goes bang like it should with more than half throttle
best thing is its alot cheaper than B&M too cost me $750 for all those parts

B&M would want over $900 for them minimum

The actual B&M shiftkits are cheaper. When I bought my Transgo kit, it was $180. The B&M kits were about $80. I have similar to above, stage 2 transgo shiftkit, transgo valvebody, 0.500" boost valve and a corvette servo.

One of my best mates had a VP with a B&M shiftkit that he bought from the 4, 6 and 8 shop here in Adelaide with a corvette servo (not sure about the boost valve) and the shifts are alot firmer and harder in my VN when I want them to be.

Also the transgo shift corrects and prevents a number of things, which im not sure the B&M kit does. I don't believe the kit is as 'complete' as the transgo one.
