back window just xploded

    oi guys was just driving along in my 97 vs and there was a very loud bang and i looked in the rear vision mirror and my back window is shattered i thought maybe sumbody through sumthing but theres no hole its all just uniform tiny littl cracks [ shattered ] spewin i bet thatl cost a few hundred has this ever happened to any1 cheers muz

    really common with window tinting and demisters.... happens to alot.

    That window was like 11years old... constant heating and cooling will do that...

    sorry to hear, about $200 id say.

    Can happen if your gas tanks leaking to, seen that before, providing you have gas to of course....

    Happened to my work car onec. Very cold day with low pressure - back windo fogged up. Got out the car at the shops closed the door and BANG. Had to claim it on insurance - the boss was not happy. But yep can happen.

    Also if you have rust under the window and rubber it grows fractionaly and BOOM!
    It is definately worth while getting any rust etc repaired while you have rear windscreen out.... will fix any leaks into the boot too!!!

    hi guys just got a quote from novus 330 fitted for new rear window and the new seal could b worse i guess lol was an expensive drive but haha cheers muz
