Hey,

Can anyone tell me if i can run the car without the heat shields in place under the car?

The one that is rattling bad is at the rear of the car above the rear muffler - near the fuel tank...
It's rattling as the rear muffler is vibrating against it.

I've taken it off bent it around and tried to replace but its still an issue.

Can you run them without the heat shield in place?

The heat shields do prevent a reasonable about of heat from entering the trunk and tank.
Part of the towing kits have additional heat shields in the trunk and on the tank, so I wouldn't remove it, especially in a V8, and definitely not if you tow.

You need to find out why it's rattling and fix it. :)

It's rattling due to the exhaust vibrating against it.
Unfortunately the rear muffler on my exhaust doesn't fit in the area nicely due to some below average bends that aren't on the right angle (xforce).
I will be replacing the rear section with hot dogs or no muffler so it clears easily I just had a long drive coming up and didn't want to hear the rattle.
Ended up leaving it on to be safe for the drive...
