i have a 2005 VZ SS Impulse blue and a few mods, really just wanted a nice clean streeter thats a daily driver MODS: VCM OTR and Tune X-Force Headers 19' CS Rims Tints Lowered (lovells springs) PLANNED MODS: Get Wheels repainted black New rear muffler Bigger Brakes (have rotors just need calipers) Cams Diff Gears MAIN USE: Daily Driver/Weekend cruiser PLANNED USE: powercruise and maybe a couple drags other than that its done 108km, auto, has full leather and is (IMHO) a good all round car!
Hands down best colour Holden came out with.. Same deal with mine being a streeter/daily driver. How do the xforce extractors go?
they are pretty good esp for the price, nice sound at idle, but the rest of the system is rather crap/quiet, hope to have it sorted in a couple of weeks...
the rims were on it when i got it... oddly thou 3 are painted silver and one is factory shadow.... not sure if i like the silver or not, thinking black mite be the go
looks nice man, took a while for the blue to grow on me, then again, took a while for the Vy VZ shape to grow on me anyway lol yeah wheels look good, and i'd paint them black
Haha, yeah true that. Anyway, I thing you should paint them black. That's what I want to get for my car, which is the same colour as yours and I recon it would look awesome. Good luck with it!
bit of colour coding is on the cards this weekend, im thinking badges and trims in black, will see how it turns out. also getting the 2 center mufflers removed to hopefully open up a bit more noise.. the rear system is a Coby, and they arent known for producing any noise lol!
didnt get any badge work done today but did spend a few hours working the rear exhaust section.. i have the X force 3 inch front section, but a coby 2.5 rear half. not sure if you can get the coby system in aussie but i totally recommend you dont! so a bit of cutting and muffler replacing and its starting to sound better! once i save a few pennies i will get a full new rear 1/2 system. also managed to score a free set of lowered springs so they are going in thursday! hope to head out for some decent pics next weekend, i have a couple friends with V8 holdens ( VT Clubsport and VZ Ex V8 with Clubsport kit) that are coming along too!
yeah im keen on the gloss black for the rims (and SS Badges etc), not so sure if anyone in NZ does tire wall painting... going in for SSSL suspension tomorrow, hopefully get good pics this weekend

it has Lovells springs and after a couple weekend road trips i am impressed with the ride quality! , my tuner had a customer that didnt like the lowered suspension in his V8 Acclaim ( i think) so we just swapped and yeah, the height is good, esp with NZ having some pretty henous roads!
so i gave the rear some de-badge treatment, the Lion will stay (in its new satin black paint) until i remove the rear spoiler and possibly french in a V8 supercar style hi-stop light into the bootlid (NZ law dictates i must have one and dont want to be swapping the rear screen for an acclaim or similar with a factory hi-stop!!) next is to do the black wheels, black the door SS badges and also the silver flutes..... anyone seen aftermarket black (or tinted) side repeaters to suit the Flutes? otherwise will just paint them with clear black
