bake pad's low dust

    getting a lot of dust on the side of my hsv clubsport from brake pads. keen to sort it out. what should i be chasing? thanks for any help

    You could go for a ceramic pad, they will still generate dust, but it is lighter and not as noticeable.

    Brake pads have to generate dust, thats how they work. They are a friction material, if they aren't wearing and generating dust, then they aren't working too well.

    EBC Greenstuff pads provide great braking and low dust levels. I'm currently using RB24 pads from Racebrakes (Yarraville VIC 03-9687-7222) and they are even better.

    QFM HPX seem pretty low dust and work well.

    If you are in QLD then GSL is not far away. Someones probably fitted a 'performance' pad to your car and lots of them are dusty so ask someone who knows what they are talking about for a good low-dust pad. If you want off the shelf you could try Bendix ultra premium from Supercheap which are very low dust and stop OK for normal driving but not really a Performance pad.
