balance shaft rattle

ok sorry guys back with another question... when i got a reco'd engine put in my VT the other week it 's now got a very annoying rattle, the mech that put the engine in said its just the balance shaft and nothing to worry about? but it annoys the absolute **** out of me and i reckon it got louder!! how hard is it to fix and what sort of $$$

Just remove the drive gear for the shaft and end of problem. Car will have a bit of a vibration at about 1500rpm but otherwise its all good.

If its a reco engine and its noisy then take it back.

If its a 2nd hand motor then i guess its time to try another one
