Does anyone know about how much a mechanic would charge to get new balance shaft bearings installed? Buick V6 engine. Cheers.
You'd be lucky to get it done for under $800 as it isn't an easy job. A lister on this forum removed his balance shaft completely and noticed only a minimal increase in vibrations. He had no more rattles. Try a search.
Not worth it,Replace the engine..When i had my VR on the road as a cab,replaced 3 engines 1 for balance shaft bearing 2 for cam shaft bearings.Good luck
