On any amp or sub use RMS for the true rating, and match each component Via RMS. Be it sub, amp or speakers, along with the the ohms.

That amp claims
RMS Power Output: 4 Ohms 120 Watts x 4 Channels

Go with a name brand for true quality sound and output ratings

Even RMS can be deceptive. Steve Meade helped design a amp dyno and he dyno tests amps. Some are 10% down on power. His videos are on youtube.

Also you want to consider the frequency response and total harmonic distortion. An amp might make 1000w RMS but have 10%thd above 800w which means you'll be in clip at like half volume. Ideally you want 1%thd at max rated RMS.

Agreed, but for the novice that's the basics you require for a good setup.

It’s only $80 so buy two, one for each sub
After all, you’d spend more on a night out and probably have the same sort of headache :p

(drives off slowly, doof doof doof doof o_O )

Thanks for the replies. I’m planing on running a 12” and 15” sub, can anyone help me choose an amp? They’re both around 1200watt peak and 300watt RMS
