Hey Guys,

I've recently obtained a VT commodore Acclaim, love the car lots, its a huge beast compared to my 626 :)

Either way, I'm after some basic mods that give it a bit more get up and go... not looking at spending a great deal, i'm already using 98ron petrol and thats about $85 a tank atm

Whats the best basic mod to get more power, I assume exhaust/extractors? Any locations around South West Sydney (Campbelltown/Ingleburn/Camden) etc would be great, also a basic gist of the price would also help... I'm a novice with car stuff, so I wouldn't be doing the work myself, unless there is some steps by step instructions which pictures and really only needs a screw driver etc :)

Anyway I've been told you guys know your stuff about commodores, and hope your able to help out!

Cheers,

Andrew

Awesome... Anyone know of reputable places around the south west syd area as mentioned above... Espcially some good exhaust places ... Would 2 1/2" be a good size for the v6?

I've read the 1.9 rockers are good.

Have a look at this site v6supercharged.com.au, its for s/c v6's but has some excellent reading.

have to pacemaker extractors and def 2 1/2" exhaust any bigger and you'll be losing power unless you plan to supercharge or turbo it. with the exhuast too make sure you only run one muffler and high flow cat. one muffler is illegal but you wont care once you hear it and feel how much better it is to drive.
