Currently in the market for a set of coilovers for my VE Wagon.

Before people suggest a good quality shock/spring package, I'm aware value for money it will perform better, but I want low, so I need coilovers.

I'm currently looking at the BC Racing Coilover packages. They are very popular in the US for the Pontiac G8. They are also (apparently) made in the same Taiwanese factory as the Pedder XA's and a few other brands of coil overs.

I'm a little worried about how the rear adjustment on the shock works. It appears to be about a 30cm extension cable that goes through into the boot. So you screw it onto the adjusteron the shock, route it into the boot, then you can adjust it through the boot (I think???) Just not sure how this will go as I have a wagon rather than a sedan.

Just wondering if anyone of the forum is using them in their VE, and what they think of them?

Just bumping this back onto the main page...

Has anyone used any Pontiac G8 suspension parts in their commodore? As far as I know they are 100% the same, but trying to make sure before I order.

I'm also a little confused as to if sedan coilovers will fit a wagon? Based on the Pedders website, the same part number is used for the Pedder XA's in the sedan and wagon, yet in the normal shock range, they spec a different part number in the rear for the sedan and wagon??

The lowest springs available will at least take you to the legal drop limit.
So you want to go even lower on a road car using a coil over mod.

Lower than the legal limit makes your car unroadworthy and, by the way, driving an unroadworthy car prejudices any comprehensive insurance cover you have on your vehicle (not to mention that you will also attract a defect notice).

Never committed.

Price was good, all seemed good, but couldn't get any definitive YES or NO answer as to how well they would work with my wagon.

if it's like the pedders it's a wheel off job to adjust the rear. Such a pain in the ass.

Also rubbish coilover too IMO. Cant wait to get rid of mine

If you need to pull your wheel of to adjust your damper which is what they are talking about then you have them on the wrong side to adjust mine its same as front but on bottom of strut facing diff and I have no issues with mine for me they are good
