So just fired it up, ran the aircon and got out a water spray bottle and hit the belt with water, it instantly stopped the noise. It returned pretty quickly but it stop dead as soon as it got water on the belt.

Im stumped. Ive done the belt, ive done all the pulleys and bearings and its a new compressor.

Anyone got any ideas?

It's odd that it almost goes away when it gets to temp too, its still there but nowhere near as bad.

Spray the belt with some silicone spray and see if it goes away and stays away.

Some say rubbing soap on the belt helps stop belt noise.

So hit it with some silicon spray, goes away for about 30 minutes of driving then its back. This noise is doing my head in.

If it's not an old or poor quality belt, what is causing the belt to be noisy?
Did you check the balancer bolt is tight and all the pulleys are aligned?

Didnt check the balencer, was busy doing lawn top dressing then it pissed down here the rest of the afternoon (got hail). Ill do it today.

Ive put a new belt on it so cant be the belt but yeah something is causing new & old belts to make this noise and i guess that only really leaves stuff ive already replaced (pulleys, bering, compressor) or the 1 thing that hasnt been looked at the entire time, the balancer.

Could be the AC clutch bearing.
