Been through 3 tailshaft s keeps twisting them and snapping and it's only making 420rwh?

Vn commodore v6 manual
I have a vz Calias ls1 converted to manual makes 420rhw twin plate race clutch and lighter fly wheel I have twisted n snapped 3 tailshaft s in the last 3 or 4 months ovisly upgrading the tailshaft is the next thing to do but just asking if that will even work because people are running way more power on stock tailshaft s n there Al good still

Maybe a little mechanical sympathy would help?

What you mean by that I'm flogging it out?
If your sidestepping the clutch and launching it on a regular basis thats going to be hard on the driveshaft.

Are you doing a lot of standstill action? Otherwise something is probably out of alignment. I'm pushing over 500hp with 800nm and I've been on my tailshaft for over 12 months/15k. I don't do burnouts, just a few step outs and max launch to acceleration

Nah haven't done a standstill in it that how it went first so was to worried it would do it again it is snapping coz I'm driving it a little hard but it's rediclous how easy it snaps

Topic at hand aside horse power won’t be what’s doing that. Torque is what’s doing that.

Have the rear end alignment looked at. Be more forgiving with your driving.

You say it's a conversion, was it a V6 originally or just a auto to manual V8 conversion?
