I recently bought a brand new set of front and rear brake pads and rotors. I bought the Bendix Ultimate pads that come in a purple box and when you brake they squeal as if there's heaps of brake dust. Any idea why?

I went to 3 different mechanics and they all recommended bendix because apparently they don't have a build up of dust and they're meant to be quiet. Is that not the case ?

... no, not in my experience,
dirty dusty squealy and they eat rotors

The several sets I have had fitted over the years were all like it
and I had verbal fights with the workshops that fitted them coz
they all said.. and here they quote Bendix brochures -
"Bendix brakes are quiet, have reduced brake dust and no squealing"
when I complained

there are far better brakes out there

Fair enough that some people don't like Bendix pads, but I don't have a problem with them.
I can honestly say that I have never had any issues with excessive brake dust, squealing or chewed out rotors from Bendix Pads.
Had Bendix GCT pads & DBA standard replacement rotors on a VS ute.
Had Bendix GCT pads & DBA slotted rotors on the missus VX sedan.
Currently have Bendix Heavy Duty Pads & DBA cross drilled and slotted rotors on my VZ 1 Tonner.

I do want to try the EBC pads out though.
With all the positive talk about them on the forum I'm keen to give them a try, more out of curiosity than anything to see if they are as good as people say they are.

I once was a bendex man and found calibre pads(supercheap) are made by bendex. Been using them since, bit of dust but no more squealing or raped rotors and cheaper too.

Bendix Ultimate's are a very aggressive, performance orientated pad. They might work well once hot but the trade off's will be noise and dust.
The basic stock bendix pads will be better for noise and dust.
