Cars
I had the wheels rebalanced yesterday and they are fine and the wheels are HSV rapier And have been on the car for some months now with no problems till about 2 weeks ago.
Could lowering the car charge the something in the driveline?

Are they genuine HSV Rapiers or copies?

If they are copies have you had the rims removed prior to the rebalance?

I've had tyres fitted and the fitter has forgotten to replace the ring on one front and it was a couple of months later when I drove out on the highway that I noticed I had a problem. When the rims were removed one ring was missing.

If they are copies it's a cheap check to see if the rings are there if they are required.

There genuine rapiers. It’s just weird that I had this hole combo on the car for over a month with no problems then after the car sat for 2 weeks I have the vibration Then I find the bent sway bar link.

Where is the vibration coming from? Front/centre or rear...Will help in diagnoising the cause..

Oh, a bent sway bar link won't cause a vibration, but changing it wouldn't hurt either

Kind of the hole car but not really anything in the steering.
Like at 114 you can see the passenger seat bouncing back and forth but there’s only a small vibration in the steering wheel. I still have the old wheels (factory wheel) at home so over the weekend I might put them on and see if it’s still there. At least I could see if the wheels are the problem or not.

@Mattricho when I had my flat-spot issue the vibration was primarily through the steering wheel rather than the whole car. Surely two weeks parked up wouldn't be enough to get that bad a flat-spot? who knows though I suppose!

The Chevy PPV got upgraded (thicker) sway bar links that included greaves nipples.

There was some post on the forums about this and it may have included a part number but could find it. Tried some google foo without results. Maybe someone has a better results or memory than me and can po8nt you to the right part number.

Dose anyone know if the USA gm part numbers are the same as the AUS part numbers?

Am I right in saying that the sway bar links are the same for VE and VF?
