Jaycar tray. They have it in grey or black. But commodore door trims are cheap. I paid $25 each for some.

7" scans fitted. Added a little more deadening while I was at it.
Door trims modified, heated and stretched to allow clearance.
Job completed. Decided to stick with the grey factory grills rather than covering them in black cloth. Now time for retune.

Also managed to track down a genuine GM statesman/caprice phone mount.
Now with modded iPhone mount. [IMG]
And this also turned up. Which will make tuning a **** tonne easier

    Cool thread!
Do you have to run cats in Aussy? (excuse my ignorance)

In NZ our vehicle emissions control aren't as hard as yours in Auzzy. We just run straight pipes, no Cats needed here. Sounds way better. ;)

I guess sound is subjective, some people like their cars to sound like a boat.

Last I heard, they don't run cats in top fuel dragsters or funny cars. :) A lot of people believe when you put something in the flow of an exhaust pipe it just restricts the flow. But I know there are high flow cats these days. Some even think the car performs better with them than without them. But I guess if that was true they'd be running them in all high performance vehicles?
I can tell you, my Holden running without Cats doesn't sound like a boat. Maybe a high performance jet boat though. haha

As if you couldn't get a good sound without a cat.

They also run alcohol in top tier drag racing, maybe you should do the same in your exec.

I never said you couldn't get a good sound with Catalytic converters in now did I. My point was, a pipe with no obstruction in it sounds and flows better, in my opinion.
Reaper, I respect your view in not wanting to spam other peoples thread. Maybe I should have tried to find a thread where this topic has been thrashed out and just read that? My apologises. :)

Don't want to upset the Site admin or anything. Maybe I should run alcohol! lol
Over here my re-shelled VX might have started out as a "Exec" but all VX HSV's started that way.

Sorry for the off topic on the thread. I was just interested in the Catalytic converter rules over there in Aussy.

It's beyond me how you thought my comment was directed at anyone other than Airstrike.
