best double din headunit 2012

I know this has been done to death, but I cant find the best double din headunit for my VX.

My budget is under a grand so Ive been told JVC or pioneer are best for that price?

What do you reckon?

Go with what ever you want. Your going to get 20 different answers and 10 answers arguing about how xyz company is inferior. For me personally there is nothing wrong with JVC. What sort of features did you want though.

Just go compare them for yourself in stores to see which look better and are easiest for you to use. The mainstream brands will pretty much all sound the same.

yeah I was thinking the pioneer AVH-p8450BT but Ive heard that it freezes a lot and I kinda want a really good one thats gonna last me ages as pretty soon I wont have a lot of money. Ive had a look at the JVC thats pretty much equivalent but its just not as good lookin

Many review sites, and a few times on amazon. Im thinking it could be an installation problem, have you not heard about it?

Nope and I deal with them daily Do they say what is freezing? Like the user interface, iPod control, app mode, DVD play ability?

they reckon its the user interface, like just listening to the radio.
