Would I get 10-15% just from a fuel &tune change?

What car/engine are you intending to tune on E85?

There's no difference for tuning E85 as opposed to petrol. Basic rule of thumb is that you will only make power in areas of the tune which are currently limited by knock, so really you should be looking at benefits across the rev range instead of aiming for a number necessarily.

And when you say fuel change, do you actually mean changing to E85 exclusively or are you talking about a flex tune?

That's the one, -_r_j_k! A flex tune.
Any benefit to having it done or just run with my current tune and let the sensor do it's thing?

There's totally benefit, particularly as you already have the hardware. They empty the tank and fill it so there's only E85 in it, then they just tune the E85 table like normal, ECU works out the rest and you shouldn't need to retune on petrol. Whoever did your car already should have no problem.

I dont think the gains will be worth the cash outlay unless you were running forced induction or high comp NA. You'll make a little more power, but the cost to get there when it'll probably be hard to notice while driving would be a waste. I dont think you'd get a 10-15% increase. Have you spoken to GM Performace who did your head/cam work?

E85 is great for blown motors but unless you are severely knock limited on a n/a motor I don't think there are going to be huge gains. I don't know what E85 Vs 98 ron fuel is cost wise so you need to factor in the extra fuel consumed etc.

edit: ^^^ beat me to it.

Yeah, good stuff boys.
I'm staying N/A.
I may just have to do a dyno challenge switching fuels...
Let's see the gains with ethanol.
Game on, mofos
