WHat is an inlet. Does a bigger inlet improve the sound of the car????
haha loving the pic snips! Reminds me of James May from Top Gear
is swapping the omega for a SS out of the question here?
in·let (in′let′, in let′; for n. in′let′, -lət)
transitive verb inlet -·let′, inletting -·let′·ting
to inlay or insert
Origin: ME inletan: see in- & let
a narrow strip of water extending into a body of land from a river, lake, ocean, etc.; small bay or creek
a narrow strip of water between islands
a stream, river, etc. that flows into a larger body of water, as a lake or pond
the act of letting something in
an entrance, opening, or passage
something inlaid or inserted
no. it doesn't.
This is what you want...
And this is what you should get...
(Yes, I realise one is a VT the other is a VE... it's basically to compare the difference between a half decent exhaust and one that sounds like Paul Keating spewing a lung into a Milo tin.)
leave the f#@cking inlet alone. F$#&*kn f(*&^k read what i f*(&cking said above for f*(&cks sake.
I meant inlet of the exhaust tip, because one exhaust tip inlet is 57mm another is 63 mm and so on.... Which one should I buy?
is this still going on...... ? just get an oxy and cut the exhaust off at the rear mufflers.... end of story
haha yer still going lol, dude dont worry about the inlet like really ur way of track swap mufflers around cut out the mid muffler for straight thru pipes, throw in some pacemakers and ur set case closed lol
Okay guys to sum it up I am getting my new ve sv6 in a few days.
This is the exhaust system I will put on:
2.5" X force Cat-back system with Quad exhaust tips
2.5" Pacemaker Extractors/Headers
Twin 2.5" High Flow Cars
Will get the centre resonator and centre muffler removed for straight through pipes in order to get deeper note and louder sound.
Will ask for smallest rear size mufflers to get louder sound.
Does this setup Sound good????
xforce dual 2.5" stainless straight through from cats.
So you're removing the centers and replacing with straight through pipe?
Gonna be loud and droney me thinks...
loud and droney is what he wants by the sounds of it, all he wants is a loud ass exhaust nothing to do with performance i think lol which he should save money and just have straight thru everything
Just try one of these. Great bang for your buck!
O Pipe (Dual Exhaust) - $99.95 : KaleCoAuto, Hard to find automotive items!
So you're getting an X-Force cat back and not even use most of it? Seriously, just use the standard X-Force system, it's going to sound like a turd if you cut it up.
Then again, why should I care? You are the one who is going to get laughed at when you drive by with an exhaust that sounds really really bad, not me.
no it dosent sound good, your getting a good system and cutting out all the mufflers, i dont see the point in getting a system like that and throwing away most of it. post pics up of your canary when you get one.
very good point i fail to see the point of the cat back lol
Ok i wont remove the cente mufflers but at least will remove the resonator as that is used for sound suppression. Now my question is what will be better to remove the centre or rear resonator or both in order to get a sound increae ???
Lol. Obviously if you remove both mufflers it will be loud.
Legally you have to have the same amount of mufflers that the car came with from factory (and comply with epa sound limits). In reality most people use one free flowing centre muffler.
you will get a sound increase with just a good sports system, why do you want it to be really loud the louder you get it the worse it will sound.
Is a resonator a muffler???
Separate names with a comma.
