Front brakes done today finally

Cost me $99 for pads and rotors

But had to buy a lowline jack car stands and ply wood grrr totalling $150 + $99 grrr lol

Anyway next job is oil. Its done 235,000kms ecotec vy s2

My old vs they said the best for it was 20/50 mineral same for vy?

My boss has mobil-1 at work maybe just use that?

Also wouldnt it be best to jack it up on just 1 side so the oil tilts over to the sump plug... meaning just put a car stand under drivers side only that will be fine yea?

First port of call is the manufacturer recommendation which I believe is a 10w-30 (and I'm sure it's just a coincidence that it's the same spec oil as the LS motors..... )

Personally, I run a 15w-40 semi-synthetic and the engine (2002 L67 with 200,000+km ) runs like a dream.

How did you get rotors and pads for $99, trade price?? Last pads I bought were $65 on sale for HPX.

Just bought a 6L bottle of HPR10 10w50 for my ecotec runabout. 230,000kms aswell.
The ecotecs aren't known for being a precise motor so any oil around the 10w40 / 10w50 bracket will do.
