IIRC SCA in the past has had Penrite at 45% off. Think gone are those days. 35% off made the price reasonable but by no means a bargain but im soon due for an oil change so i grabbed one today.

Super cheap just gave me $33 store credit as well wtf (clubmember)

all i bought was a car jack last week #shocking

im still keen on 20/50 mineral (which is VS best yea) why would the VY require something else

20w50 is what holden used in the v6 s and 5ltrs 20 years ago, i d say when they went to the gen 3, instead of having different grades of oils they put the thinner oil in the v6

increase the capacity and lengthen the service interval to save money for both holden dealers and customers.. thats my theory anyway

the vs has gulf western in her and picked up 2 containers for $9 each for 4ltrs 9 months ago.... its $18 for 4ltrs at the moment and i still got a couple of ltrs left over
about $25 to do a oil change with filter and i have got plenty of sump plug washers

the thing that sucks is that when you need to top the oil up ya need to buy a second bottle of it grrr

Who sells it in 6s. I haven't seen a 6L for years. AFAIK Repco don't have it. SCA Launceston I'm sure doesn't have it and Autobarn doesn't have it.

I have seen 5L + 1L free deals that Penrite put out but it's been ages like 6 years since I seen it, that was when I owned the Jeep and lived in Adelaide. I used to love it because the 4.0 Jeep could take six litres and it meant I didn't have to buy 2, 5L's. Probably haven't noticed them lately because I never buy oil from Repco.
