Does anyone live around Milperra and know of a good reliable experienced place where I
can get a good affordable tune for my VZ?

Looking to get this done in the next few months but want to make sure I get the job done well!

Cheers peeps ^.^
(Totally feel like I post too much.)

I have a mail order tun on a WL Statesman from oztrack, and its been good so far. Lots more power, better economy, better shifts for the transmission. Worth the $500? I think it cost.

Do you mean to say it wasn't worth the cost?
My justification AGAINST a mail order is that apparently a dyno tune is better at scraping out ever ounce of power compared to a fairly "generic" mail order.

Get hold of MACE, they do a mail order tune with data logging and will touch up the tune for you for free.

I had my VZ SS dyno tuned by Unigroup at Girraween and I'm very happy with the result , cost about $1100.00

My other question:
Is it really worth tuning a V6 VZ with minimal mods?
I've got a Mace 12mm Manifold Insulator & Growler CAI and decent exhaust setup.
Not going to pay $1100 if I will only get minimal gains though.
Thoughts?

I think MACE does theirs for ~$600? Any tune is worth it. It will increase acceleration and throttle response as well as improving economy. But having said that, you won't get a huge improvement, but definitely noticeable.

You are correct, the dyno tune will always cater to the individual circumstances of each engine, but there are a few people who do quite good mail order tunes.

No, i'm saying it was totally worth the cost. I'm not out to get the very last bit of power from the car, but the drivability improvement alone is worth it. Not to mention the 1L/100 (or more in some circumstances) improvement in economy. And above 3.5K it has a noticable amount more power - pulls much harder.

Mate I've spent a lot tuning my car with help from guys in same suburb, across town, interstate, and overseas and I can totally recommend Steve Bennett from OzTrack using EFIlive remotely via AutoCal.
