hey preety keen to get rid of the old torno hooks on my ute thinkin of angle grinding it but dont want to have the bits i cant get just chilling there... if you know what i meen, has anyone done this yet and is it easy or is it gonna give me the shitz
pretty sure you can take the lip parts off (if that makes sense) and once off you can cleanly get at the tonneau hooks. should be only a few bolts (ones with a large allen key bit) unless you have a tubliner in that covers said bolts/screws. this info may not be 100% correct/accurate and there may be mroe to it, but you can certainly take the upper bits off to get easier access to the hooks. (hooks should be a part of those lip parts)
Drawnnite is correct, you can take the torneau hook bars off the tray and rear latch. And then cut off the hook welds with a grinder. Next thing is to the put eye bolts in the corners of the tray so you can tie stuff down.
ok sweet thanks guys, yeah i know you can take the rails off was just bit worried if there were parts you couldnt get to, getting her resprayed and supercharged soon, so nothing will be going in the tray lol nothing big at least, over people askin me if i can help them move, but not any more hahaha
