So, I want to get a better flowing engine from my VR.. When I rev it.. It sounds like crap and sounds like its dieing. Ive got Cold Air intake, Lukey airfilter, Pacemaker extractors and Lukey 2.5" catback.
If your standing behind the car you can hear the engine over the exhaust when revving...

Comparing to a Ecotec, they sound like they are meant to be revved and just sound so much smoother.

Is there anything I could do to make my Engine, Smoother / better flowing?

    Cheers..

Never had issues with my VR when I had it and it was stock lol Was easy to spin the wheels and the tires had plenty of meat on them...
I know dirty injectors will cause lack of power.

These engines are not designed to rev, even the Ecotec doesn't like it. They are designed to produce large torque at low engine speeds and they do it well.
Roller rockers may smooth the engine slightly, and reduce valve guide wear, but I doubt the expense would be worth it.

I've got plently of power with the car. but the engine sounds aweful.. Just doesn't sound like its meant to be revved.. It's hard to explain...
I can do 0-100 within 9 seconds with wheel spin normally... so I dont think it's lacking to much power..

Yeah, just the ecotecs sound smoother when you rev them though unlike the buick.. if you know what I mean.. :\

True roller rockers dont just have neede bearings in their fulcrums, they also have actual rollers on the tips of the rockers that push down on the valve stem, hence the name "roller rocker". This roller greatly reduces friction and valve train vibration etc at high revs. I notice that a lot of "so called" performance places sell "so called" roller rockers that only have the needle bearings in the fulcrums, these shouldnt even be called roller rockers.. I can remember back years ago when yella terra released their roller rockers, and the really big deal was with them having the rollers on the tips, not just from them having needle bearings in the fulcrums.
