What have all you ute owners done about dirt bikes down? The piss weak little tabs are as we all know less then useless ive thought of a couple ideas on something to make but im curious to what others have done and whether you have tub liners or not

The spray on tub liners are the way to go if you are getting a bike in and out. I just used to tie the back of the bike over the tail gate and around the tow bar then the front was tied to the sports bar. Seemed to work ok. Would be better off buying some u bolts and securing them to the floor front and back on both sides of the tray.

Yea its a maloo so I have no sports bar when I picked up my road bike the sail plane got in the way of the straps (using the front tabs) so I couldn't tie it down as hard as I wanted to and now im getting a wr450 which is alot higher. I was thinking riv nutting plates to the floor and possibly something to the sides where the soft tonnaeu bars go.

maybe as demonica has said with the U bolts.
not sure where you can get them, but the ones that lie flat but you can flip them up.

maybe have a few bolted to the floor, or on the sides.

like these but different

I have put my brothers ninja 600 into the back of his ute and also my rm250 we haven't had any issues using the standard tie down points but we have just used the handle bar holders that have kept the bike very stable driving to and from Gladstone.
