Hey fellas, I have a VT commodore series 2.. th Today I started to smell smoke and thought it wasnt me.. untill my girlfriend was behind me and she told me that black smoke was coming out of my exhaust when I put my foot down.

Any ideas of what this could be?

    Thanks

like full-on black smoke?! or white-ish blue smoke?
first thing to do to start narrowing down what it would be is to get a clean white rag, hold it behind the end of the exhaust and rev the engine (not off its guts, just a little bit). then inspect the rag to see whether there are any oil speks on it.

Its ok if there a little bit of smoke coming out at full throttle, but no much.

black smoke is unburnt fuel. as 007 said, it is normal for a little but not really enough that u can see it in the mirror
