ahd this happen on my old vp calais, and spoke to my neighbour. he said the o2 sensors were up **** creek, so i changed it, and it went alright after it.
If ya change them, and it keeps happening, then ive got no idea.

seen so many ecotec VS cars have the same problem, and both my VS's. your error codes will read 'a/f variation between L and R banks' or something similar. pull the 02 sensors out and you will notice that one i charcoaled, sure sign of the above problem.

my remedy was to rewire a better earth for each of the oxygen sensors, as somewhere along the line between the ecu and the sensors the earth breaks down. find the right and left 02 earth wires at the ecu and reattach to a strong earth point. make sure you find the correct wires too (a gregory's manual helps)

id at least try this before buying new sensors, as 02 sensors arent cheap!
